Some of the most toxic substances known to man are sprayed on fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and seeds.   Pesticides have been linked to cancer.  They also imitate estrogen, a fat-forming hormone, and create thyroid function disruption, two things that cause weight gain.  

We always hear that we should "Eat More Vegetables".  Not so if they are covered in these chemicals that accumulate in our fat cells, lowering our immunity to other carcinogens, and increasing our cancer risks.  

At Dtox Juice, we always use organic produce.  We also make our own nut milks and nut butters from organic, raw almonds and Brazil nuts.  We never use conventional, boxed milks.  This makes all the difference in our delicious, decadent smoothies, lattes, and frappes.  Be a discerning consumer.  Just because it's a health food store, don't assume they are organic.  Ask.  Your health depends on it.

Is this gluten free?

Does it matter?  Is it really the gluten we should fear?  Or is it the Roundup ready crops and the glyphosate that causes the problems?  Why is someone gluten sensitive in America and not in Italy?  How does glyphosate interact with mercury and aluminum in vaccines when there is a manganese deficiency?  What happens when giving the newly vaccinated child Tylenol to prevent discomfort.  Do the research.   Know what you're shooting into your kids.  Don't be shamed into not asking.  Demand to know.  

I'm not against vaccinations but I do want to know how things change each year because they do.  Formulas change.  As I get ready to vaccinate this little bunny, I have to research it all again.  

Buy organic wheat products.  What seemed silly to me a couple 0f years ago to have organic, now there is no question.



Tips To Avoid GMOs

Tip #1: Buy Organic

Certified organic products cannot intentionally include any GMO ingredients. Buy products labeled “100% organic”, “organic” or “made with organic ingredients”. You can be doubly sure if the product also has a “Non-GMO Project Verified” Seal.

Tip #2: Look for Non-GMO Project Seals

This guide features brands with products verified by the Non-GMO Project, a non-profit organization committed to providing consumers with clearly labeled and independently verified non-GMO choices, including testing of at-risk ingredients. The Non-GMO Project verifies per individual product, not for an entire brand. Some of the brands listed in this guide offer both GMO and non-GMO items. Tip #3: Avoid At-Risk Ingredients

If it’s not labeled organic or verified non-GMO, avoid products made with ingredients that might be derived from GMOs. The eight GM food crops are corn, soybeans, canola, cottonseed, sugar beets, papaya from China or Hawaii (most), and a small amount of zucchini and yellow squash. GM alfalfa is also fed to livestock.

Sugar: If a non-organic product made in North America lists “sugar” as an ingredient (and NOT pure cane sugar), then it is almost certainly a combina- tion of sugar from both sugar cane and GM sugar beets.

Dairy products may be from cows injected with GM bovine growth hormone. If it’s not labeled Organic, or Non-GMO Project Verified, look for labels stat- ing No rbGH, rbST, or artificial hormones.
