WISHING YOU ALL A HAPPY, HEALTHY NEW YEAR.
2015 is the year that I will turn 40. My son will turn 10. My daughter will have her first birthday.
This is the year that I choose to change my perspective.
My mother gave up her life for me 40 years ago. She was 18 and on her way to college. I want to stop judging my mother so harshly. We daughters have a tendency to study our mothers so closely, looking for traces and understanding of ourselves, that we know their every expression and mood. We do so much for our children that they don't understand and possibly never see. I realized this week as I made my 2015 list that I wanted to spend more time playing with my children. I ignore their cute playing as I work 24/7 under the guise of making their lives better later. I am going to stop doing that. I will be more present and know that this is it. Their life is good now and would be even better if I were more present in it.
I will let my own mom know how much I adore and respect her more.
I hope you find what inspires you daily and achieve what makes you truly happy.
Wishing you a happy, healthy 2015!
